Aleksandr Osvald August von Turro-Lebardov

I'm an artist in Estonia. Born in 1985 in Tallinn (Estonia), which is still his hometown. I have no formal art education (though a doctoral degree in another field and I has completed a course in oil painting at Tallinn Folk University). Since 2010, I began actively visiting art museums and their temporary exhibitions in Estonia (especially the Kumu Art Museum and art galleries in Tallinn), and in Europe (including the National Gallery (London), the Tate Modern (London), MMK (Frankfurt), MACBA (Barcelona), the Museumsinsel (Berlin), the Louvre (Paris), the Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg), etc.), and since 2015 I have been systematically creating works of art.

Starting from September 2018 I am a BA student in Fine Arts at the Estonian Academy of Arts.

The first exhibition in which my works were exhibited to the general public was from 13 June 2016 till 03 July 2017 at Võru Town Gallery (in 2015 some works of art presented at the exhibition were made available on the Internet).

The first main theme I am working on is the Estonian phenomenon: various aspects of perceiving and conceiving the aspects connected to Estonian cultural, economic and social fields.
